Update on Masking

From Principal Castro:

Some of you have asked about the mask mandate and whether it will continue. Here is what I have been told:
Indoor masking is required for all individuals at all times, regardless of vaccination status, except when eating or drinking.

It is REQUIRED that all students and employees wear surgical-type masks or higher or cloth masks that comply with the standards listed on the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health’s website (link below). The school will provide surgical-type masks to students on request. As with the previous masking requirements, this does not apply to students with mask exemptions.

As of February 22, outdoor masking is optional for students and staff, including during outdoor athletic activities - except for those who have tested positive or who have been a confirmed close contact of someone who has tested positive in the past 10 days. Students and staff who have tested positive for COVID-19 must wear a highly protective mask when around others, both indoors and outdoors (except when eating or drinking), for 10 days following the date of their positive test, even if they are ending isolation early after testing negative on Day 5. Similarly, students and staff who are required to quarantine must mask indoors and outdoors for 10 days following the last day of exposure, even if they are ending quarantine early after testing negative on Day 5.
