Visiting the Library

Visiting Times

The library is open when the school is open and 30 minutes before school starts (8am) and until 30 minutes after school ends (4:03pm).  We are open during lunch with a pass (maximum 20 students). We are also open during morning breaks, but only to return or get books. Students may visit during class with a pink library pass from their teacher, maximum of three per pass at a time. Teachers may bring classes if they are booked in advance via email.

Rules for Visits

No food or drinks allowed in the library. Phones are not allowed unless they are using it for library searching and have the librarian's permission.  Students using the tables and seats are expected to be engaged in schoolwork or reading. The Library is not a hangout. Please review the four pillars below.

See maps and circulation policies at the right for additional information.

Computer Use

Printing is no longer available, students should ask their teachers to print any assignment that is submitted with paper. Students use their own devices to access the online catalog Destiny to look for a book.

When Closed -Summer

For summer reading, E-Books are available to you through the LA Public Library (LAPL) using your Success Cards. See Schoology's library resources (black folder) for more information. During remote situations, books may be placed on hold and picked up. Instructions will be given in those circumstances.
